Our Ownership

Gumboots is proudly community-owned.

We’re owned and operated by the parents in our community. When you enrol your child at Gumboots, you become a member of the Maraekākaho Early Childhood Centre Charitable Trust. You get a say in how our centre is run, and we encourage everyone to get actively involved.

The Trust is governed by parent trustees, and managed by a parent committee. We value the skills and support of every parent, and whether it’s taking a governance or committee role, mucking in for our annual working bee, or volunteering for our major fundraising event, getting involved is a great way to build connections in the community and contribute to your child’s early childhood experience.
